Day 45: Thrifty Thursday! MacPhail FREE Family Music Series

The MacPhail Center for Music, based in Minneapolis, is a vital part of the vibrant Arts community we have come to know and love here in the Twin Cities.  MacPhail offers a variety of music classes for individuals, groups and ensembles, and in the summer, a variety of music camps….for youth and adults of all ages!  They also partner with schools and organizations to enrich as many lives as possible.

Recently MacPhail announced a new FREE Family Music Series…a four-part series, where at each event there will be a free concert, an instrument explore area with instruments featured in the concert, a music themed art project, and a reception with light snacks.  There will be a FREE Event this Saturday, November 13th, from 11am-Noon, at Antonello Hall, featuring Julie Johnson and the No-Accounts.  They will be featuring the music of Bob Dylan, Doug Otto, Leadbelly, Skip James, Son House, Robert Johnson, and more!

The next Free Family Music Event will be on January 15, 2011.  Check out their website for all the details.
